Murder charge over Primrose Hill stabbing

Murder Charge Over Primrose Hill Stabbing

Incident in North London Beauty Spot

A 21-year-old man, Finbar Sullivan, was discovered with fatal knife wounds near a popular viewing point in Primrose Hill on Tuesday. The Metropolitan Police confirmed that Oliuwadamilola Ogunyankinnu, 27, from Southbury Road in Enfield, had been arrested on Friday and later charged with murder on Sunday. Ogunyankinnu is scheduled to appear at Stratford Magistrates’ Court on Monday.

Following the arrest, a 25-year-old man was also detained on suspicion of aiding the offender but was released without further charges. The police stated that the investigation is still in progress. Sullivan, who was a film student at the London Screen Academy, is remembered by friends and family as “Fin,” a term of endearment for the young man who had lost his only son.

“All of his friends said he was the light, the leader. His friends’ parents loved him. This is why it’s so tragic,” shared Chris Sullivan, 65, his father, in an interview with BBC London.

Another individual in his 20s was found with stab injuries on nearby Regent’s Park Road on Tuesday. He was hospitalized, with medical staff assessing the wounds as non-life-threatening and not altering his future.
